Troy Bennefield, has taught percussion for high schools
and colleges throughout the Southeast and Central plains on topics ranging
from marching percussion, to percussion ensemble, to drum set. He has
maintained a private studio since graduating high school, teaching almost
every percussion instrument and style. With a BS in Music Education
and MM in Percussion, Troy has the professional knowledge to work with you
in an informative and enjoyable education setting.
Mr. Bennefield has presented percussion clinics at the
Georgia Music Educators Association Conference and has been published by the
Georgia Music News. He has taught with several high schools as well as
with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, Odyssey Indoor Percussion Ensemble (WGI)
and the marching percussion, percussion ensembles, percussion methods
courses, and applied lessons at the University of Oklahoma. In 2007
Mr. Bennefield was selected to Who's Who Among Teachers as well as the
Alpharetta High School Teacher of the Year.
