Troy Bennefield has taught percussion for high schools and colleges throughout the Southeast and Central Plains on topics ranging from marching and concert percussion, to percussion ensemble to drum set.  With a BS in Music Education and MM in Percussion, Troy has the professional knowledge to work with you in an informative and enjoyable education setting.  He is currently pursuing the DMA in Wind Conducting at the University of Oklahoma.

Mr. Bennefield has presented percussion clinics on teaching percussion and starting a percussion ensemble at the Georgia Music Educators Association Conference and has been published by the Georgia Music News.  He has taught with several high schools as well as with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, Odyssey Indoor Percussion Ensemble (WGI) and the marching percussion, percussion ensembles,  percussion methods courses, and applied lessons at the University of Oklahoma.  In 2007 Mr. Bennefield was selected as the Alpharetta High School Teacher of the Year.
